Get afar from “Method”, and let’s go back to the basic!

Couple of days ago, there was a conversation of how to cast satan. That person mentioned that they just heard someone told them that pray and worship can get rid of Satan. They mentioned one particular song is powerful to attack devil, and worse, they wrote down the lyric and gave it to someone else.

About a month ago, I experienced similar thing, I went to an celebration of a new house, the pastor there cast out the demon by using water and salt, and spray it around the house. “Hang more cross all over the house”, he added. Worse, when I said that when know that Jesus is in us, is more than enough, she quickly replied : “None sense! Prayer is not enough!”

DON’T GET DECEIVED, O, CHRIST FOLLOWERS!!!! Get back to your Bible, meditate and ponder on what the truth says.

Not even one Jesus casted out demon by using salted water and sprayed it to the one who is demon-possessed. Not even one Jesus used a particular song to cast out the demon. Not even one, He brought a tiny lil cross on His hand and said “Get out, o you satan!”

And, here I don’t deny the power of worship. I truly believe the power behind the worship. But many of us focus too much on the method, which is the trivial thing to discuss: How to sing, How to worship, How to cast the demon, how to do this and that.

Read John 4, where Jesus met a Samaritan woman. She asked the method of how to worship God, but Jesus explained that the most important thing is not how to, but you must know whom you worship! The power comes from knowing your God.

Some of you might not believe? Ok, let’s turn to a famous story in the Bible, in Act 19:13-20, the 7 sons of Sceva. They didn’t miss any single method that Paul did (by using the name of Jesus, too!) But what happened next? The evil spirit answered them, "Jesus I know, and I know about Paul, but who are you?", worse, Then the man who had the evil spirit jumped on them and overpowered them all. He gave them such a beating that they ran out of the house naked and bleeding.

DON’T GET FOCUS ON “HOW”/ METHOD. But focus only on the Cross and Christ!!! Get back to your Bible, and don’t just follow what ppl say/ may suggest. Do your own personal meditation. Have your personal conviction from it.

Read  Colossians 2: 8- 10 :
“See to it that no one takes you captive through philosophy and empty deception, according to the tradition of men, according to the elementary principles of the world, rather than according to Christ. For in Him all the fullness of Deity dwells in bodily form, and in Him you have been made complete, and He is the head cover all rule and authority;”
No wonder then 1 John 4:4 says: “You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them (every Spirit that doesn’t come from God), because the One who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.”

Let’s go back to the basic, all my fellows. Don’t get deceived! Understand the will of God and Be filled with His Spirit! – Eph 5: 15- 18.
It is no longer about exalting the method: what kind of song, or what's the best song? how to sing it? What's the best way to worship? With one hand lifted up? or two hands? with standing?

Go back to the basic, KNOW WHO JESUS IS & MAKE SURE JESUS IS IN YOU. Relationship with Him who has redeemed ourlives is the foundation of all. EXALT CHRIST & CROSS! Otherwise, “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.” God says.

1, 926 days that He predestined in me

I thank God for every grace that He showed me

For the 1,926 days I had in Melbourne.
It was not about learning English,
It was not about double degrees,
It was not learning how to be independent.

All things have been predestined by Him.

Salvation is the main reason He called me.
To be His light is His initial plan,
To glorify His name has always been in His mind,
To be His chosen people,
To feed the flocks and to find the lost.

All things have been predestined by Him.

Mission is now on my hand,
And I shall not want anything else,
With His unfailing love, I enter this new land,
With His promise of abundant harvest, I walk,
With assurance that His vision indeed, never fails.

All things have been predestined by Him.

“He changes the wilderness into a pool of water,
And a dry land into springs of water,
And there He makes the hungry to dwell,
So that they may establish an inhabited city,
And sow fields and plant vineyards,
And gather a fruitful harvest.
Also He blesses them and they multiply greatly,
And He does not let their cattle decrease”.
(vision given on 8th March 2011)

All things have been predestined by Him.

So long, Melbourne,
And see you soon, the Promised Land.
“But by the grace of God I am what I am,
and His grace toward me did not prove vain;
But I labored even more than all of them,
yet not I, but the grace of God with me”

Yes, all things have been predestined by Him.
